Beta testing includes testing software and reporting bugs. Yes! I know! Let's go to work.
Hold it. There are responsibilities associated with this position. Download and use the software. Ask someone to help. Do whatever it takes to find those bugs. And they certainly need to be reported to the developers.
No time? Communicate with the developers and let them know. Would it be a personal message? A topic? An email? Do whatever it takes to get that information across, because it's frustrating to ask questions and expect intelligent feedback from a wall.
Even if no bugs are found, a status report saying nothing unexpected was found would be welcomed because then the role s actively being fulfilled. Silence on a forum can imply many things, you know, especially in a position where active feedback is more or less expected.
No time nor the means or will to dedicate time to testing? Don't hesitate to say so! Even if it means a badge removal.
