[Mod Update] Annoy User

1.4 released with support for adding IP addresses to annoy! The entire procedure to annoy a user has not changed; once you choose to annoy a particular user, their IP address gets added to the list.

So what happens if their address changes because their DHCP server updated?

Because SMF refreshes a member's IP once they login, the annoy script detects that and refreshes its data accordingly.

What about performance? The IP lookup generates an extra query.

It's cached. The cache is valid for one hour and is based on the IP being called. Also, the cache is flushed when a user is added or removed from the annoy list.

Does this mod work ok with SMF 2.0 RC2? I hate upgrading as it is rarely a trouble free process and half my other mods would no longer work.

It performs fine but some SMF code that the mod looks for has changed - the moderation center has and I'm  pretty sure that's t.

I can't download this plugin.

I'm logged and i'm on page http://livemods.net/index.php?action=mods mod list.

There's one only button/link called subscribe that show me this page (again) http://livemods.net/index.php?action=profile;area=subscriptions.

There is not any download link.

Hmm. The group wasn't automatically updated. I did it myself. So now that subscription link should be the download.

Well... now I've download the plugin, installed on my smf 2.0, translate in my language to help the stuff. It works!

I'm happy, so i can demotivate some people to leave my site.

But add ip silently could generate some trouble. E.g. another user uses the same ip of an annoyed user.

How can the admin change the rules if ip list is hidden?
